01-01 CISE Main Menu This is some general information about the Center Information System Exec. (CISE). Use the <PgUp> and <PgDn> keys to scroll through the help screens. (NUM-LOCK must be off.) Press <PgDn> to continue. 01-02The left side of the screen contains 10 of the 20 function key definitions accessing the software installed on your system. There are three pages of function key definitions. The software packages are accessed by pressing the function key corresponding to your selection. 01-03The third page of function key selections are user utilities, such as a calculator, file manager, memo pad/scheduler, and other applications. Use <PgUp> and <PgDn> to scroll through the function key pages. 01-04 The "other applications" selection allows execution of any application by entering the command that executes that application. The date and time can be set using the "other applications" selection and entering the word date or time followed by the desired values. 01-05To re-enter this exec. from DOS, enter "menu" from the root directory. To change any function key assignments, or if you need any further assistance, please contact the CSC Service Desk at 280-4800. ** end ** 01-06 The scheduler provides a daily reminder and/or appointment calendar. When accessed, a prompt asking for the date to access is displayed on the screen. The current date's schedule can be accessed by just pressing <RETURN>. 01-07 This scheduler will not accept any dates prior to 01-01-80. When the schedule for that date has been completed and/or reviewed, press <ESC> to return to the menu. 01-08 To erase past date schedules, use the "other applications" option, and enter the following: ERASE SCHmmyy.DAT where mmyy are numeric values representing the month and year you wish to delete. ** end ** 01-09 01-10 01-11 The calculator works much the same way as a desk-top calculator. Turn NUM-LOCK on to use thenumeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard. REMEMBER: The NUM-LOCK must be off in order to use <PgUp> or <PgDn>. 01-12Numbers can be entered from the numeric keypad or the top row of the keyboard. The addition (+) and subtraction (-) keys are located to the right of the numeric keypad. The asterisk (*) and slash (/) are used for multiplication and division respectively. 01-13 The total is obtained by pressing the equals <=> or <ENTER> key. The calculator is cleared by entering the letter <C>. The letter <S> changes the value of the current numberfrom positive to negative, and vice-versa. 10-14 The calculator also has a memory function. (This memory is only temporary and will be lost when the you exit the calculator function.) To store the current value into memory, press <M> and then <S>. 01-15To recall the value stored in memory, press "M" and then "R".
